The Curtis Hudson Memorial Playground
OUR PILOT PROJECT
Curtis Hudson was a friend to all.
Curtis made friends wherever he went, always leaving an impression on your heart. He was a great friend – gentle and kind, a happy child with the sweetest smile, and a real prankster – always up for a laugh.
If given the chance, Curtis would have been a giant among men — tomorrow’s CEO, humanitarian, political figure, coach, dad. Regretfully, Curtis did not get the chance to fulfill his purpose. The Curtis Hudson Memorial Fund (CHMF) strives to continue Curtis’ legacy.
Our mission is to create opportunities to play and grow while building lifelong friendships and a love of learning to honour the memory of Curtis.
OUR PILOT PROJECT
The Curtis Hudson Memorial Playground will be an accessible, state of the art playground situated at Goulds Elementary on Doyles Road in Goulds, Newfoundland and Labrador. The playground will be built in memory of Curtis Hudson, our friend and leader in kindness, who passed away after a short battle with brain cancer.
The Newfoundland and Labrador English School District and Goulds Elementary School support this endeavor, spearheaded by the CHMF.
CHMF is a non-profit organization incorporated in May 2018. Our organization’s purpose is to:
Give back to the community
Give back to kids
Continue Curtis’ legacy
CHMF has an amazingly dedicated team who are inspired everyday by Curtis and our aim is to unveil this gift to the community in three short years.
